On March 1st, Elliott Masie and Telly Leung (Aladdin, Glee, Rent, Allegiance) co-hosted their 29th Empathy Concert featuring artists from the Asian American community, performing and discussing how we can confront fear and racism with empathy and understanding. ​Watch below:

The concert and conversation featured Tony-winning playwright David Henry Hwang (M. Butterfly, Aida, Soft Power, Flower Drum Song); Grammy Winner and Two-time Tony Award nominee Eva Noblezada (Hadestown, Miss Saigon, Yellow Rose) singing “Square Peg” from Yellow Rose and “All I’ve Ever Known” from Hadestown; Raymond J. Lee (Aladdin, Groundhog Day, Soft Power, Anything Goes, Mamma Mia!) singing “Part of Your World” from The Little Mermaid andI Am Both” from Soft Power; and Telly Leung singing “You’ve Got to Be Carefully Taught” from South Pacific and “Lean on Me”.
