Last night, “Livin’ On A Prairie,” a six episode series created by and starring Broadway’s Pamela Bob (Hand to God, A Gentleman’s Guide to Love & Murder), screened to a sold-out house at Spring Studios as an official selection of the 2nd Tribeca TV Festival’s Fall Pilot Season. The world premieres of five indie comedy pilots showcasing new voices in episodic storytelling ranged from conventions of adulthood, sex and…William Shakespeare. The cast and the creative team of “Livin’ on a Prairie” had a blast at The Festival.

Synopsis: Meet Pamela. A 30 something single woman in the city, who longs for the simple things in life: connection, the spirit of community of family. Of being unconditionally loved. All of these values have been instilled in her since childhood from the single most important influence of her life-The 1970’s NBC classic, “Little House on the Prairie”. But, is Pamela getting more out of this show then she is out of her real life?

Original “Little House” cast including Alison Arngrim (“Little House on the Prairie”) and Charlotte Stewart (“Little House on the Prairie,” “Twin Peaks”) guest star and the series also features current Broadway and TV performers: Taurean Everett (MISS SAIGON), Aaron Ramey (THE VISIT), Matt Bogart (JERSEY BOYS), Jim Ferris (THE LION KING), Justin Sams (“When We Rise”), Carlos Gonzales (ON YOUR FEET) Dave T. Koenig (“Nurse Jackie”), Paul Moon (TAINTED DREAMS), Matt Cody, Mary Theresa Archbold, Susan G. Bob and Alex Altomonte.

Other pilots on the slate having their world premieres included “Great Expectations,” created by Pip Swallow and executive produced by Stefan Georgiou; “I Was a Teenage Pillow Queen,” executive produced by Bridget Moloney and Claire Coffee; “My Friend Will,” executive produced by Elijah Guo; and “Shrimp,” created by/executive produced by Zelda Williams and EP Joshua Thurston.

The screenings were followed by a Q & A, with all of the creators and directors in attendance.
