Last night, an incredibly talented group of stars from stage and screen came together to celebrate the Inauguration of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris. Producers Seth Rudetsky and James Wesley, alongside director Schele Williams, created the special video, gathering over 35 stars to belt out two iconic Broadway songs: “Season of Love” from RENT, and “Let The Sunshine In” from HAIR.
Accompanied by Seth Rudetsky, performers included original cast members of Rent Anthony Rapp, Daphne Rubin-Vega, Fredi Walker-Browne, and Wilson Heredia, who were joined by Derrick Baskin, Laura Benanti, Wayne Brady, Betty Buckley, Charlotte d’Amboise, Renée Elise Goldsberry, Mandy Gonzalez, James Monroe Iglehart, Andy Karl, Javier Muñoz, Christopher Jackson, Jose Llana, Beth Malone, Audra McDonald, Ruthie Ann Miles, Olga Merediz, Miss Peppermint, Jessie Mueller, Orfeh, Rosie Perez, Chita Rivera, Juli Rudetsky-Wesley, Keala Settle, Ali Stroker, Leslie Uggams, Jenna Ushkowitz, James Wesley, NaTasha Yvette Williams, Vanessa Williams, Chandra Wilson, B.D. Wong.
The band featured Seth Rudetsky, Perry Cavari, Carl Carter, Jim Hershman.
Seth Rudetsky served as Music Director and provided the arrangement, with video editing by Jabari Payne, and sound mixing Shelbie Rassler and Matthias Winter.
Tonight, on “Stars In The House,” some of these amazing participants will join Seth and James to offer a behind-the-scenes look at what it took to put this all together (in less than a week!), and show some fun outtakes from the filming process.
Tune in at 8PM ET to see director Schele Williams, Andy Karl, BD Wong, Charlotte D’Amboise, Daphne Rubin-Vega, Javier Muñoz, Jenna Ushkowitz, NaTasha Yvette Williams, Orfeh, and editors Jabari Payne and Shelbie Rassler for all the inside scoop! And of course, there will be live music to enjoy!
