CAPA21 Congratulates Rev. Warnock and Jon Ossoff on Senate Wins in Georgia

(CAPA21 Press Release)

CAPA21 congratulates Rev. Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff on their respective Senate run-off victories in Georgia and celebrates the resulting control of the Senate by Democrats, finally stopping the damage to our democracy being wreaked by Mitch McConnell and Senate Republicans. Thanks to their generous donors, CAPA21 invested $100,000 to support independent expenditure groups and in direct contributions to Rev. Warnock and Ossoff. Their donations include:

  • $20,000 total ($10,000 each) to the Rev. Warnock and Ossoff campaigns
  • $35,000 to the Asian American Advocacy Fund PAC
  • $10,000 to Fair Fight
  • $15,000 to Georgia Advancing Progress PAC
  • $10,000 to Georgia Senate Victory Fund
  • $10,000 to AAA Fund-Georgia

Numerous CAPA21 donors also contributed directly to the Rev. Warnock and Ossoff campaigns.

CAPA21 is thankful for the outstanding efforts by Asian American Advocacy Fund, AAA Fund-Georgia, Georgia Advancing Progress PAC, and other AAPI organizations on the ground in Georgia that worked tirelessly to turn out AAPI voters and ensure that their voices were heard in this historic run-off election. These organizations helped win Georgia for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in the general and for Rev. Warnock and Ossoff this week.

We especially want to credit Stacey Abrams and her Fair Fight team for their strategic and grassroots work mobilizing Black voters and other voters of color in Georgia and around the country. The herculean efforts by Abrams and Fair Fight turned Georgia Blue.

“So many hands built this victory, but I must single out the indefatigable, ingenious team at Fair Fight Action, led by the powerhouse that is Lauren Groh-Wargo,” said Abrams on Twitter. From mobilizing voters to defending the franchise to moving the needle on what’s possible – this team is mighty! Thank you all.”
