In the film, a Filipina teen from a small Texas town fights to pursue her dreams as a country music performer while having to decide between staying with her family or leaving the only home she has ever known.
Directed by Diane Paragas, “Yellow Rose” stars Grammy®-winner and two-time Tony Award® nominee Eva Noblezada (Broadway’s Hadestown and Miss Saigon) in her feature film debut, award-winning country music artist Dale Watson, Princess Punzalan (Mula sa puso), Tony Award®-winner and Grammy®-nominee Lea Salonga (Once On This Island, Mulan, Aladdin) and Gustavo Gomez (“The Walking Dead”, Libby Villari (Boyhood), and Liam Booth (Ghosts Never Sleep).
The two actresses, who each played Kim in Miss Saigon in its original production and revival, sing on the soundtrack, which is available to stream/download on Amazon.

Eva Noblezada was discovered by a top New York casting agent when she was still in high school. Most recently, she originated the lead role of Eurydice in Hadestown on Broadway, a performance for which she received her second Tony Award nomination for Best Leading Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical and a Grammy Award.
She was also nominated for her Broadway debut performance as Kim in Cameron Mackintosh’s epic Miss Saigon revival, at age 21. She recently received The 2020 Rising Phoenix Award from Womankind.
Salonga’s Broadway credits also include Allegiance, Les Miserables, Flower Drum Song. International: Sweeney Todd, Fun Home, Cats, Cinderella, God of Carnage. In film and television, she played the singing voices of Jasmine in Aladdin and Fa Mulan in Mulan and appeared on “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend,” Les Miserables for PBS (10th and 25th Anniversary concerts), and “Hey, Mr. Producer.”
The film is written by Paragas, Annie Howell and Celena Cipriaso based on a story by Paragas and Andy Bienen. The film is produced by Paragas, Cecilia R. Mejia, Rey Cuerdo and Orian Williams. Executive Producers are Olivia De Jesus and Karen Elizaga.

Lia Chang is an actor, a multi-media content producer and co-founder of Bev’s Girl Films, making films that foster inclusion and diversity on both sides of the camera. Bev’s Girl Films’ debut short film, Hide and Seek was a top ten film in the Asian American Film Lab’s 2015 72 Hour Shootout Filmmaking Competition, and she received a Best Actress nomination. BGF collaborates with and produces multi-media content for artists, actors, designers, theatrical productions, composers, musicians and corporations. Lia has appeared in the films Wolf, New Jack City, A Kiss Before Dying, King of New York, Big Trouble in Little China, The Last Dragon, Taxman. She stars in and served as Executive Producer for the short independent films Hide and Seek, Balancing Act, Rom-Com Gone Wrong, Belongingness and When the World was Young. She is also the Executive Producer for The Cactus, The Language Lesson, The Writer and Cream and 2 Shugahs.
