Celebrating Terrence McNally: Tony® Award winners Tyne Daly, Chita Rivera, Tom Kirdahy and TERRENCE MCNALLY: EVERY ACT OF LIFE director Jeff Kaufman Set for Virtual Discussion on July 8

Floating World Pictures celebrates the life and legacy of the late Tony® Award-winning playwright and LGBTQ activist Terrence McNally through the award-winning American Masters documentary TERRENCE MCNALLY: EVERY ACT OF LIFE, streaming on pbs.org/americanmasters and the PBS Video app now – August 31, 2020.

McNally’s husband, Tony® Award Winning Producer Tom Kirdahy, Tony® and Emmy® Award Winner Tyne Daly, and Tony® Award Winner and Presidential Medal of Freedom Recipient Chita Rivera will take part in a discussion about Terrence McNally: Every Act of Life, on Wednesday, July 8 at 5:00 PM PST/8 PM EST.

Terrence McNally: Every Act of Life features a cast of theatre legends including Angela Lansbury, Nathan Lane, Chita Rivera, Audra McDonald, F. Murray Abraham, Rita Moreno, Edie Falco, Billy Porter, and others. The film discusses his classic plays and musicals, the struggle for LGBTQ rights and marriage equality, addiction and recovery, finding true love, and the relentless pursuit of inspiration.

The digital conversation will also feature director Jeff Kaufman and will be moderated by David Rooney, Chief Film Critic of The Hollywood Reporter.

Lia Chang is an actor, a multi-media content producer and co-founder of Bev’s Girl Films, making films that foster inclusion and diversity on both sides of the camera. Bev’s Girl Films’ debut short film, Hide and Seek was a top ten film in the Asian American Film Lab’s 2015 72 Hour Shootout Filmmaking Competition, and she received a Best Actress nomination. BGF collaborates with and produces multi-media content for artists, actors, designers, theatrical productions, composers, musicians and corporations. Lia has appeared in the films Wolf, New Jack City, A Kiss Before Dying, King of New York, Big Trouble in Little China, The Last Dragon, Taxman. She stars in and served as Executive Producer for the short independent films Hide and Seek, Balancing Act, Rom-Com Gone Wrong, Belongingness and When the World was Young. She is also the Executive Producer for The Cactus, The Language Lesson, The Writer and Cream and 2 Shugahs.
